STAN goes stateside with Detectagas 22nd Jan 2009

Stockport PR and digital creative agency, STAN has been retained to handle the PR account for Wirral-based Detectagas following a successful UK launch of its innovative new test kit for carbon monoxide (CO) detectors.

STAN will now coordinate the product's PR launch into the United States, where Detectagas has already secured manufacturing and distribution agreements, and will also help to launch the company's extended range of health and safety products into both the UK and US markets.

Detectagas invented and patented a new method to test the sensors in domestic CO detectors, using an aerosol that delivers a measured dose of test gas. The product was in response to a problem common to most CO detectors where the test button only checks the alarm bell and not the sensor. A key part of the PR campaign has been to highlight this problem which potentially puts thousands of householders at risk.
