Chitech takes STAN for a ride 17th Aug 2009

International bicycle manufacturer Chitech has signed up Manchester creative agency STAN to help launch its new Tony Hawk Huckjam Series BMX bikes.

Chitech, based in Chester, is a leading manufacturer of licensed branded bicycles, ranging from children's beginner bikes through to adult street and mountain bikes. Chitech holds the global license for Tony Hawk's Huckjam range of BMXs, intended to capitalize on the skating legend's extreme sports reputation, and to encourage young people to exercise.

Chitech has called on STAN to provide a full service, including social media engagement, trade and consumer PR, and potentially a dedicated microsite for the range.

"It's fantastic to get involved with a brand on so many different levels," said STAN Account Manager Alex Wood. "When we have control over press releases, social media and online presence all under one roof, it means we can achieve so much more. We're really looking forward to seeing what we can do for the brand."

Maxine Rushton, Sales Director at Chitech, said: "The Tony Hawk brand is a potent opportunity for Chitech to expand its trade awareness and develop a powerful case study for future branded products. STAN's services mean that we have one point of contact for all aspects of the campaign, and can assess the results with STAN to adapt to different emerging trends quickly and pro-actively."

STAN has won several full service accounts in recent weeks, including Liverpool social networking site new2thecity.

STAN doesn't waste time creating 'noise', exposure for the sake of it. PR and creative communication is about designing, developing and delivering solutions that work.
