Carbon monoxide charity raises PR awareness 21st Jan 2009

Stockport PR and digital creative agency, STAN has landed the PR account for CO-Awareness, the registered charity that supports the victims and families of those killed by or suffering the long term effects of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning.

STAN first supported the charity's CO-Awareness Week last November which saw it stage a UK-wide road show of presentations which took in the House of Lords, the Welsh Assembly, the Scottish Parliament and the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The ongoing PR programme will now continue to alert the public to the causes and dangers of CO poisoning, thought to be responsible for over 50 UK deaths each year, and to raise awareness amongst key audiences and influencers including the government, industry and healthcare professionals.

Charity trustee, John Stones commented: "STAN has demonstrated its understanding of the key issues surrounding the charity and its work and PR will play an important part in achieving CO-Awareness's charitable and commercial objectives."

STAN doesn't waste time creating 'noise', exposure for the sake of it. PR and creative communication is about designing, developing and delivering solutions that work.
