I've been called twice by this variety.

Organization called me and told me to enter my handset number to confirm that I had been around the don't local call list. I entered my handset number and it said your phone number continues to be taken from the don't local call list. Subsequently it had me push several key to talk to an agent and i was on hold for 5 minutes till i understood that it was bogus. I am scared that i have only been identity theft-ed. If someone can please call my number at and promise me that that is not the case or may be the case because I'm like I have been cheated. Thanks.
