Just got a phone-calls today from a supposed tech rep from Windows/Microsoft proclaiming that all window customers were in terrible need of eliminating virused that could get rid of their computer. I repeatedly asked for evidence of how I would know that this was indeed Microsoft. Was subsequently passed onto a boss. Questioned...

Owner had my name, address and mobile number. He explained my software warranty had come to an end and claimed to be from Microsoft and he could renew it for a cost. He wished my credit/debit data. When I said I'd a MacIntosh computer, not really a Windows computer, he said it did not matter. I stated I would phone-calls him back. I googled the telephone number and discovered responses exhibiting he was owning a con.
